Camera systems and what they can do today. https://whitetailelectronics.com/news/camera-systems-can-today/ https://whitetailelectronics.com/news/camera-systems-can-today/#respond Wed, 09 Nov 2016 15:54:07 +0000 https://whitetailelectronics.com/?p=1149 Its amazing how far we have come in the world of video surveillance since the late 40’s. Video surveillance systems didn’t start to become more commonplace until the 70’s, but they were still extremely expensive, and not practical for most people.  We have come a long way from looking at shadows on  small black and […]

The cameras of today are quite remarkable in the way they record in clarity and provide very fine details within the image. Most cameras record in 720p or 1080p, and are moving toward 4k resolution in the near future. This allows for incredible detail to be captured during events that would help local authorities identify the suspects involved. Perhaps even more impressive is their ability to record highly detailed footage at night. In total darkness some of these cameras use IR sensors that are rated to see up to 100ft or more and provide a high definition color image.

The ease of using the cameras has greatly improved as well. Through the use of applications on a smartphone or tablet you can view live, and recorded footage at your convenience. In most cases once these cameras are installed and programmed, the only thing that has to be done for routine maintenance are the firmware upgrades that help to improve the software within the cameras.

Owning a video surveillance system has never been more practical and affordable. Now is the time to start considering if a surveillance system is the right choice to help protect your property, and the ones who matter most. Call our office at 814-790-5575 to speak with one of our system engineers, or click here for more information.

The fact is most people feel that their home or business would never be a target for burglary, and simply locking your doors is sufficient for protecting your home. Property owners in Erie county have a potential problem that needs to be addressed sooner than later. The recent statistics below suggest otherwise:

According to recent statistics gathered by local law enforcement agencies, Erie county property owners have a 1 in 37 chance of being a victim of a property crime! That number exceeds the state of Pennsylvania’s average which is 1 in 52.

Erie is only 20% safer than all other cities in the United States! The factors that are primarily responsible for that unnerving number are burglaries, property crime, and robberies. Unfortunately, these rates seem to be increasing for our area. Which means there has never been a more important moment to protect your property and the ones who matter most.

These numbers are quite alarming for citizens of Erie county, and we are here to help. Whitetail Electronics has been a local provider for security and video surveillance services since 1994. Each property is treated uniquely, and has a custom system built for the specific needs for our customers. Our Camera systems are top of the line and can be placed in areas you wouldn’t think possible.

If your property is unprotected, visit our website for more information, or call us at 814-790-5575 to speak to one of our system engineers today!

low temperature detection system.

Temperature sensors can be placed throughout your home or business, and will communicate directly with your security system panel. The temperature will remain at a designated level determined by the client. When the temperature goes above or below the threshold, you will be notified via text, phone or email immediately.

A perfect example would be if your HVAC system stopped working in the dead of winter. We all know how cold our winters are,and the havoc that comes with it. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a system to alert you if something was wrong with the heating system? We have a client this that is out of town for the winter. While he was away his HVAC system shutdown, and never turned back on. During that time the temperature in his home dropped below 50 degrees. His security system sent a “low temperature” alert to the monitoring station. Our client received the call immediately, and was able to send a family member to the home and address the issue. If our client did not have these sensors in place, his pipes would have surely frozen and possibly caused significant damage to his home.

These sensors are inexpensive and are professionally installed by our technicians. Furthermore, there is no additional cost on your monthly bill!

Make sure those pipes stay warm, and heating bill manageable this winter! Contact us today 814-790-5575 for more information or Click Here!

  1. It’s More Secure. With cellular communications, there is no exposed phone or cable line to be cut from the outside of the house, for example. Making it much more difficult to disarm the system without triggering it. Additionally, wired home security systems are also vulnerable when your power, phone or Internet service goes out. However, if you have a wireless security system that uses a secure, dedicated cellular connection and battery-powered back-up, your alarm will always be signaled in an emergency.
  2. It’s Easier to Install, With Faster Support. Wireless technology makes it easy to replace an existing system or add a new one. Today’s selection of security panels, wireless sensors and devices are fast to install, and can often use the existing sensors from an old system. That means you’re not tied to the out-of-date system that came with your house. If you do need new sensors, you won’t need to run wires. It also makes it much easier to troubleshoot issues because your system can be accessed from a support center. Making it much easier and faster to fix .
  3. It’s Flexible and Versatile. Because wireless sensors are easy to move (and add), you can use them to keep track of all sorts of unique things around your home, with real-time alerts that keep you aware of what’s happening.
  4. It’s Easy to Expand Your System. As you and your family grow and change, your needs change too.  Wireless technology is portable, flexible, and adapts to your lifestyle.
  5. It’s the Foundation of a True Smart Home. You can easily upgrade to see what’s happening at home with HD video, manage energy use with a smart thermostat to save money, and control access to your home with automated locks and integrated garage door controls. It’s all controlled through a single app
